MoodStars
Privacy Policy · moodstars.juust.dev
Package ID: com.moodstars · Effective date: November 2, 2026
In short: your sky belongs only to you
MoodStars is an offline-first personal mood journal. It has no user accounts, no cloud servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no internet permission. Everything you log stays strictly on your own device unless you choose to export or back it up yourself.
1. Data Stored on Your Device
When you place a star in MoodStars, the app records:
- The mood value (a number from 0 to 100).
- The local date and time of the check-in.
- Your app preferences (selected display language: English, French, or German, and daily reminder time).
All entries are stored in a local SQLite database inside the application's private storage folder on your Android device. We do not have access to this database and never transmit it to any server.
2. Backups & CSV Export / Import
-
Android Auto-Backup: Standard Android system backup is enabled (
android:allowBackup="true") so that you do not lose your journal if you switch phones. This backup is governed by your own device and Google account settings. -
CSV Export & Import: From the Parameters tab, you can export your mood stars to a
.csvfile or import a previously saved.csvfile. Exported files are shared only with the destination app or folder you explicitly pick.
3. Device Permissions
MoodStars requests only the minimum permissions required for its optional daily reminder:
POST_NOTIFICATIONS– to display the optional evening reminder notification on your phone.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED– to reschedule your daily reminder alarm after your phone restarts.
MoodStars does not request INTERNET, location, camera, microphone, or contacts permissions.
4. Third-Party Services & Tracking
MoodStars contains no third-party analytics SDKs, crash reporters, trackers, or advertising networks. No personal or usage data is collected, sold, or shared with third parties.
5. Deleting Your Data
Because all data lives on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can delete individual mood stars directly on the sky chart, or erase all data by clearing the app's storage in your Android system settings or uninstalling the app.
